The theme for the ceremony was ‘Celebrating Childhood’ which was in cognizance with the foundation years of one’s life and also an ode to fun, laughter and innocence that a child brings into the world. A skit based on the famous award winning story ‘The Day it Rained Letters’ by Nuri Vittachi was presented by primary students, which talked about the importance of reading for children. Today when the gadgets have taken over the young minds the importance of story books has somewhat faded. The skit got a lot of appreciation as the audience was mesmerized with the concept of the books opening a dream machine called the ‘imagination’. A colourful bonanza of dance and music presentation enthralled every one and they were spellbound with the confidence and charisma of the little ones.
Mr. Sudershan Kumar, the Chief Guest of the Day praised the extraordinary efforts put in by the Management, Teachers and Parents for the development of young learners as Global Citizens of tomorrow keeping in hand the traditional and cultural values of India intact.
