New Delhi: ASN International School, Mayur Vihar Phase-1 commemorated its Annual Function on the theme, ‘Be Alert, Be Safe’ recently amidst great zest and elation. DCP, Mr Omvir Singh Bishnoi, East Delhi Police was the esteemed Chief Guest along with Guest of Honour ACP, Mr. Shobit D. Saxena and SHO, Mr. Manoj Sharma. The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the Honourable Chief Guest and Guest of Honour, escorted by Chairman, Mr. K.L. Luthra and other dignitaries present. This was followed by Ganesh Vandana. The School’s Annual Report of the session (2016-2017) was given by Incharge, Ms. Priyanka. 
An array of programmes was presented by the students with great enthusiasm. The mesmerizing dance performance by the tiny tots of the Nursery Wing students was much applauded by the audience.  Little Challengers of Upper Primary Wing showcased a laudable performance along with Gymnastics stunts. The Fusion of Kathak, Bhangra and Bharatnatyam by Upper Primary Wing and Middle Wing Students captured the attention of the audience. A group song based on the theme was a soul-stirring depiction of the fact that we should be alert in our actions to keep ourselves & others safe. A captivating Jugalbandi (Orchestra) was a soul touching addition to the feel of the grand day. The Drama based on the theme, ‘Be Alert, Be Safe’ by the  Middle Wing Students gave the message that there should be safety of the children against Cyber Crimes, Violation of traffic rules, the importance of outdoor games and role of right parenting. The splendid performance of the left the audience spellbound and the programme further proceeded with Chairman and Chief Guest’s speech, who appreciated the efforts of the students and motivated the students by felicitating the meritorious pupils of the school with the awards. 
Vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Ramandeep  to the entire staff who worked tirelessly to make this occasion a success. The programme culminated with the national anthem.
