Gurgaon: “Admiration comes easy to a person, who is endowed with the fine art of public speaking, who adorns common thoughts with the grace of elocution, and the elegancy of style”.

The famous words lingered on in the mind of all those who witnessed the Inter House English Elocution Competition held at CCA School, Sector 4, Gurugram on 27 April 2018. The participants, exhibited perfect nuances and finer points that go into making a captivating Elocution. The poise, self confidence and praise worthy articulation delivered by the speakers, made the event a benchmark for the fellow students, also providing utmost satisfaction and pride to the school.
The event had 20 talented speakers from IX, X and XI belonging to different houses. The poems ranged from long narrative poems by great poets like Alfred Tennyson to the poems written by the contemporary poets. 
The worthy panel of judges included Ms. Rahee Nangare and Ms. Meenakshi Mehta. Some factors which were adjudged during the competition were voice quality, speech, content and delivery standards with appropriate topics. All participants performed exceptionally well, winning accolades for their house. Tanisq Yadav, Nikita Somra and Bhavya Dixit  bagged the First prize followed by  Gitika Sharma who bagged second position.  Third position was bagged by Pratyancha and Ridhima.
The judges  were truly moved by the efforts, applauded the hard work and particularly appreciated the content collated by the speakers. The School Director & Principal Mrs. Nirmal Yadav congratulated the winners with certificates and Books and  also encouraged other students to participate .
