New Delhi: ASN Senior Secondary School, Mayur vihar-1 celebrated Baisakhi, ‘The Harvest festival’ with much pomp, fervor and feasting. The theme this year was ‘Harit Kranti’ or ‘The Green Revolution’. The students depicted the importance of adoption of modern methods and technology such as High Yielding Variety seeds tractors, pump sets in agriculture through an informative skit followed by pulsating Bhangra to mark the celebrations.

The day also witnessed the ‘Felicitation Ceremony’ for Gifted Children run by the Venkatesh Trust for Education  and Excellence. The students were awarded  and given due recognition for their excellence  .The Certificate of Merit were presented to these brilliant students for showing remarkable performance in the field  of Science and Mathematics. The guests for the day were Mr. and Dr. Vimala Veeraraghavan; Chairperson of Venkatesh Trust for Education  and Excellence and Ms B.B Srivastava; Coordinator and mentor from National Science Centre .

Dr. Veeraraghavan in her address motivated the students to keep their curiosity alive as only then one can find new and innovative ways to solve a problem.

School Principal, Ms.  Sonia Luthra expressed her delight on the superb academic performance of the meritorious students and congratulated them on their success.

The program ended with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Ms. Sushma Kalia, Middle School Coordinator followed by National Anthem.
